Sydney Andrews (Laura Leighton) left the original ‘Melrose Place’ at the end of the 1996-1997 season by way of death. This was her last scene on the show and it was said in the season premiere of the show’s sixth season, without actually seeing her, that Syd had died. Josie Bisset is horrendous ha ha on the 4th episode she is supposed to act all mysterious before the opening and she acts like she is reading a boring book with no expression ha ha

I feel you on this one, it’s a bit far-fetched when the original MP proclamied her dead and had a funeral and such.
However the spinoff MP isn’t that bad of a show, but not even close to as good as the original.
Craig was hella cool, he was funny and brought something else to the show which was needed to keep the spice up.

Next sequence: Matt says everyone, including Craig, that Syd has passed away. Michael zips a morgue bag with the name of Syd on it, but she is alive.
So, according 1×03 (new series) she arrives to the hospital, someone steals her earrings, she is conscious, Michael asks her ”who did this to you?”, Syd answers: ‘’someone from the past” (Of course she didnt notice that Samantha was the one who was driving the car…) so she thinks someone else did it on purpose. She is terrified and begs Michael to let her die.
I am just annoyed at how they promoted her being back on the show and she was on the cover of TV Guide and she is dead less than 10 minutes into the premiere. What? Now we must see all flashbacks of her. snore
I don’t think they will explain it and why should they? its a soap opera! lol seriously though I’m on episode 2 of the revamp and the murder mystery is way more interesting than some convoluted way of how they faked her death b/c at this point it would involve a body double and a clone. I think they just need to push forward with the revamp and keep it fresh.

oh yeah that’s true but as far as I remember the child wasn’t Kyle’s but Michael’s. He decided to raise it with Jane because he wanted to have child very much at that time.

are u kidding me… all “soaps” back then had bad acting throughout all of the episodes not just certain scenes. lmao. ie: Melrose Place and 90210. haha. hopefully the newer versions acting will be better.

Iam so glad they are bring Jo back, she was always my favourite.
I was hoping they would do cross overs, I think cross overs may have made Models Inc more of a success. But as they have cast that under cover cop woman as a different character I don’t think they will! Do you know that there was another spin off from the original 90210 planned but after Melrose looked like it was going to flop in it’s 1st season it got cancelled.
